Saba Krmpotic is an Ethiopian born artist currently residing in New Jersey.  She grew up in Ethiopia and Lebanon, before moving to New York City in the mid-seventies.  Saba believes in diverse artistic expression, reflective of her family's multicultural background.  Her artistic maturation is heavily inlfluenced by the vivid cross currents of Middle Eastern and Western cultures.  Saba is a Political Science graduate of New Jersey City University.

Saba is a self-taught artist who developed her artisitc talents after a successful career on Wall Street.  In the late eighties, she left the finance industry to assume full-time care for her daughter and paint.   Although her passion for art developed from a young age, it took leaving the finance industry to actualize her true vocation.

Her technique has gone through several developmental stages.  Acrylic on Plexiglas is her preferred medium, where she alternates painting on the reverse side or uses both sides to create a three dimentional effect.  Early on, she experimented with a number of esoteric mediums including tile and wood and recently she added pen and ink to her repertoire.
